Sally is a goldfish who lost the ability to swim correctly. Sally is also 23 YEARS OLD, according to Sally’s owner’s boyfriend, who posted a video to YouTube.

She had been stuck on the bottom of the tank with apparent buoyancy issues, essentially swimming in a somewhat circular fashion, so Sally’s owner’s boyfriend decided to do something to help the senior fish to swim again.

He went to build a flotation device to help Sally swim more normally, and after several attempts, he created a fish flotation system fashioned out of a bikini string and a piece of cork.

The device slips around the belly of Sally and cinches down, but not too tightly. Now Sally can swim more normally and is off the bottom of the tank. She is now doing swimmingly well!
