Finnish Lapphund

Friendly, gentle, cooperative and easy to train, the Finnish Lapphund is a medium-sized, strongly built dog. The profuse double coat has a coarse, waterproof outer coat and soft undercoat, providing warmth in the bitter northern Scandinavian climate of its homeland. With boundless energy and stamina the Lappies make excellent outdoor companions who can withstand the coldest weather. Yet these are also excellent companion dogs, calm and adaptable to a variety of situations.
