Are you a brave Gryffindor? An intelligent Ravenclaw? Kind Hufflepuff? Or cunning Slytherin? For years, Harry Potter fans have proudly stated which Hogwarts house they believe they would be placed in if only the school of witchcraft and wizardry were real (we wish). And now there are four more houses fans can choose from: the houses of Ilvermorny.
Ilvermorny is the North American version of Hogwarts in the Harry Potter prequel “Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them,” which hits U.S. theaters Nov. 18. At Ilvermorny, students are placed in one of four houses, each of which is said to represent a part of a witch or wizard.
To celebrate the release of “Fantastic Beasts,” the folks at Rover.com, a website where you can find pet sitters and dog walkers in your area, dressed up dogs as students in each of the Ilvermorny houses. Maybe these magical canines will help you figure out which Ilvermorny house is the one for you.
The Wampus house represents the witch or wizard’s body, and Wampus students are described as warriors. Bold and brave, this house is believed by many to be most like Harry Potter’s own Gryffindor.
The Pukwudgie house represents the heart and favors healers.
The Horned Serpent house represents the mind, and Horned Serpent students are described as scholars. Sounds like Ravenclaw, don’t you think?
The Thunderbird house represents the soul, and Thunderbird students are said to be adventurers.
Which house would you most want to be in?
