DEFINITION OF FULLY FLIGHTED

Not trimming a bird’s flight feathers, therefore allowing companion birds full flight indoors.

WHAT TO DO

Owners are cautioned that they must be able to keep a bird safe prior to allowing flight inside the house. Therefore, they must have total control over all outside doors and have “parrot-proofed” their home to the best of their ability. Just like any parrot that is out of the cage, fully flighted parrots also need to be supervised at all times.
