Homeless Cat Gets Adopted And Is Thoroughly Unimpressed By It All

Garfield the cat was minding his own damn business when some humans came along and decided to give him a loving home.

Garfield doesn’t need anybody to be happy. He’s perfectly happy on his own, thank you very much. Just one look at this sourpuss and you just know he’d hit you over the head with his cane if he had one.

Luckily, someone saw right through that grumpy facade and gave the homeless ginger cat a loving forever home.

Paul Tateosian from Sarasota, Florida, and a housing inspector were out on a job when they came across the scowling feline, Love Meow reports. The cat, whom they named Garfield, was in poor shape. He was alone with no food or water, his long fur was matted and dirty, and he was clearly underweight. But despite his condition, Garfield was surprisingly affectionate.

“He was unreal friendly and just looking for a lot of love,” Tateosian told Love Meow. “So I sat with him for a long while on the ground, petting his head and keeping him company.”

Given the fact that the tenants were gone, the property’s owner had never lived in the house and predators abound in Florida (alligators and hawks and snakes, oh my!), the housing inspector decided to take the cat home.

While we’re sure Garfield is happy to have found a loving family, his face tells a completely different story.

Do.
