Dogs cute and cuddly and a whole lot of fun… even when they’re being a bit mischievous. While I’m sure we can all agree there’s nothing like a dog, we all have to admit it’s pretty cute when a different species acts like – and believes it is – a dog.

The latest to fall in the “honorary dog” category is a raccoon named Pumpkin. When Pumpkin was a month old, she fell out of a tree into Rosie Kemp’s backyard, CBS News reports. She and her daughter, Laura Young, waited for the little raccoon’s mother to retrieve her, but hours later there was no sign of her. The Bahamas Humane Society didn’t have room for the orphaned raccoon, so Young and her husband decided to take her in. In the Bahamas it is legal to own a raccoon, as long as the animal is up to date with its vaccinations, according to CBS News.

Pumpkin joined the couple’s two dogs, Oreo and Toffee, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Check out the bond the raccoon formed with the dogs. There’s no doubt she believes she’s one of them.
