What happens to your dog when a child is brought into the family? It might take awhile, but eventually the dog learns to love and accept the new addition. And the baby learns to love the dog, too.
A touching new Amazon Prime commercial for the Japanese market shows a dog feeling a bit left out after the baby of his family doesn’t take too well to his company — at least, at first.
In the ad, uploaded to Amazon’s YouTube page on Monday, the dog attempts to make friends with the baby, but the baby starts to cry. The dog walks away, seemingly dejected.
The dog then watches his family from the other room as the baby plays with a toy lion, unafraid of the stuffed animal’s presence. The dad takes a long look at the dog and comes up with a plan to bring his family together.
With one click on his mobile phone using the Amazon Prime app, dear ol’ Dad purchases a faux lion mane for the dog. Later that evening, the lion mane arrives and he puts it on the dog, who then walks back into the room it left earlier in the day, to see the child.
The baby seems a little tentative at first as the dog stops short in front of her. Then a look of bewilderment spreads across her face and she reaches out to touch the dog/lion. And Amazon Prime saves the day.
