A photo of a military working dog named Rocky has gotten a lot of attention on social media after it was posted on Facebook by the 89th Military Police Brigade on Dec. 9.

Rocky is wearing the Purple Heart, which he received in recognition of his service. To date, the now-viral photo has garnered more than 107,600 likes and been shared more than 148,400 times.

“Rocky and his handler are staying in the same room right now as they are receiving treatment for their injuries,” the Facebook post reads in part. “Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they recover during the holiday season.”
