Last week, someone in East Los Angeles, California, walked off with an Iraqi war veteran’s German Shepherd dog, and the entire crime was caught on video.

TJ is especially important to Francisco Torres because the war veteran suffers from post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and the 8-month-old puppy helps him to cope. The Torres family, who believed they knew who lured TJ out of their gated yard, made an appeal to KABC News 7 in Los Angeles.

Thankfully, someone returned TJ to her family the evening of November 5, unharmed, KABC reported. The Los Angeles Country Sheriff’s department is continuing its investigation.
