Humans who have handled the contaminated product should monitor themselves for diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramping and fever. Though rare, salmonella infections may also result in arthritis, eye irritation, arterial infections, muscle pain, endocarditis and urinary tract symptoms. Contact your doctor if any of these symptoms appear.
