Senior dogs seem to always get passed up when it comes to adoption. They’re often among the not-so-adoptable group of pets. But for four senior Chihuahuas, the opposite couldn’t be truer.

Julie Docherty adopted MoMo first when he was 11 years old.

“My first senior adoption was a happy accident,” Docherty said, according to The Dodo. “I discovered MoMo, fell in love with him, and we bonded over his rehabilitation and care. I came to realize then how heartbreakingly overlooked this large category of shelter dogs are, and how ideal senior adoption was for me.”

It was so ideal for Docherty, in fact, that she adopted other senior Chihuahuas, including Choli Churro, Benito and Paloma Linda. The crew of seniors is now enjoying a great life together. Check it out.
