A photo of two young cats being affectionate toward each other next to a Christmas tree has won the hearts of many on Twitter.

The photo, tweeted by @JamesC0nquer, shows the one cat giving the other one sweet kitty kisses while basking in the warm glow of the Christmas tree lights. The tweet has been liked 81,000 times and retweeted 51,000 times since it was posted on Saturday, Nov. 26.

The two in the picture are Louie and Luna, a pair of 6-month-old cats who live with James and his girlfriend, Lauren, in Ocala, Florida, Buzzfeed reports. James and Lauren adopted the affectionate felines when they were 10 weeks old.

“They’ve been inseparable since they were adopted, and they always do everything together,” James told Buzzfeed. “They sleep, eat and tear apart my Christmas tree as a unit.”

Let these cats be a reminder to us all this holiday season that sometimes we need to slow down and enjoy the moment with the ones we love.

  • I just hope that if and when they’re adopted, they both get adopted together. That’s how I got my two. They’re brother and sister who were found together at 8 weeks old. And since the one I had before was killed by a car, getting both of them more than eased the emptiness and emotional stress I felt.
