The last time we saw a pig in an engagement photo, it was because Miss Piggy was trying to get Kermit to finally break down and say yes. But then Kristin Hartness and Jay Yontz released the results of their own photo shoot, the one where the bride-to-be was upstaged by the 250 pound baby of the family.

The Salt Lake City, Utah, couple have a pet pig named Ziggy, and when the camera came out, he was determined to be in front of it.

“Our plan was to have Ziggy in a few pics, but he insisted on being in as many as he could,” Hartness told The Knot. “It makes sense, because he is glued to our hips! We wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Hartness adopted Ziggy when she was living on the island of St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands, but now the three of them are stateside and, in addition to posing for pics together, they also travel together. Their pet is known as Ziggy the Traveling Piggy, and they chronicle their adventures online and on social media.

Whether they’re on the road or not, Hartness and Yontz still have a wedding to plan, although they’re debating whether the money spent on a massive ceremony could be better spent on a farm for Ziggy and his future friends.

“We’re not too sure how [the wedding plans will] evolve,” Hartness told The Knot. “Our dream is to own an animal sanctuary and save as many animals as we possibly can.”

No matter what they decide, we can’t wait to see those wedding pictures.
