A year ago, the Internet was rubbing its collective eyes, trying to decide the color of some girl’s dress and having heated arguments involving phrases like, “It’s black and blue, you idiot.” This year has started with another Internet-fueled debate, although it’s one that is less stressful and much, much cuter.
A Reddit user named TheRedFoxx posted a picture of an adorably fluffy animal, with the caption: “Somebody brought this bear into doggie day care.”
Because it’s the Internet, things escalated quickly. The animal’s picture circulated on social media and people really did wonder what kind of animal it was, whether it was a dog or a bear — at least for a couple of days. The mystery was swiftly solved when Ryan Horn, who works at The Dog Spot in Nashville, Tennessee, confirmed to ABC News that the little fluffball was a female Pomeranian mix named Bounce.

The dog’s owner is Elizabeth Maguyon, a 19-year-old college student, who had boarded Bounce while she and her family were on vacation. She said that, weirdly enough, Bounce sort of acts like a tiny hibernating bear.

“She naps all day and in that way, I guess she’s like a little bear who sleeps lots in winter,” she told ABC. “We joke all the time she’s not even like a real dog.”
Ohhh, don’t let the Internet hear you say that.
