Two stray puppies adopted by Buddhist nuns in China have become social media sensations after a set of images of the super cute dogs embracing each other and sitting solo were uploaded to Chinese social media, according to the Daily Mail.
One image shows a tan puppy leaning up against a planter with the smaller puppy resting on the chest of the tan dog. The bigger dog is seemingly holding the smaller dog between his legs, with his paws resting on the smaller dog’s chest.
The second image shows the two pups against a wall in a corner, with the larger dog’s paws wrapped around the neck of the smaller dog, seemingly not wanting to let go of his friend.
A third image shows the smaller dog in a solo shot, apparently in front of a statue. The dog here is resting on hind legs in what some commenters called a pose of meditation.
In another photo, the tan dog is resting up against a wall, with rear legs splayed out and front legs hanging down the side, seemingly in total meditation or relaxation.
The final image in the series shows the tan puppy with a Buddhist nun looking on at the dog. The puppy is looking straight ahead, resting on his haunches and hind legs, seemingly oblivious to the nun who is observing him.
Some Chinese users of the social media site Weibo vented their frustration at what they see as inconsiderate people who would abandon two puppies.
“How can people be so cruel? They shouldn’t have bought the dogs in the first place if they weren’t able to take good care of them!” one person wrote, according to Shanghaiist.com.
One user suggested that the nuns may have made the pups start daily meditation.
“The dogs are in the temple now, so they must sit in mediation the same way the nuns do.”
Whatever the case may be, the dogs are cute, and the images of them in various stages of “meditation” are even cuter.
