“You see things and you say ‘Why?’ But I dream things that never were and I say ‘Why not?'”
That line was spoken by a serpent in Act I of George Bernard Shaw’s play “Back to Methuselah.” But “Why not?” also seems to be the reason for this YouTube video, one where Mark Fischbach decided to replace dog’s mouths with his own. Fischbach, who posts as Markiplier, has made something that manages to be both uncomfortably funny and weirdly unsettling (which are phrases that could also be used to describe All Things Kardashian).
By about the 30-second mark, you’ll be asking yourself “Why in the world would he do this?” and then “Why am I laughing at it?” After the full minute, you might find yourself staring at your own dog, imagining your mouth replacing his and wondering what would happen if you shouted “BARF! BARF! BARF!” in his general direction. Why not, indeed.
